Paulette > Oops on photo and project. Mask appeared to fuse just fine but formed crack in cool down period during drape schedule. May be making frit out of this later.
Paulette > Put these two Oops pieces in one photo. This is what happens when the upper glass is too narrow. The glass didn't cover the base piece on each during fusing and the red one didn't get both wire hanging rings fused into the glass.
Paulette > Learned that 7" squares are too large for the large floral mold. Will have to redo with 6 to 6 1/2" squares. Some of the glass edges stuck to the kiln posts.
Paulette > Butterflies are upside down. Need to think carefully when applying.
Paulette > First experiment. Major Oops! Didn't think about the steel support bars softening and bending somewhere between 1100 and 1600 degrees. Will do next one with strips cut from old kiln shelves.
Paulette > It looked so good when I started.
Paulette > Pile up a bunch of clear and colored scrap glass in a circle, fuse and drape over SS504 mold. This is what you get. Not impressed but do like the ruffled effect on edge of bowl.
Paulette > Oops. This was in the kiln with the blue one but broke before it fused. Noticed pits in Spirit Glass when I cut it; must have had a flaw in the glass. Weird.
Paulette > Unhappiness still comes from the kiln
